Iran visa for Canadian, American and British Passport Holders:
Iran tourist visa procedure is different for the citizens of Canada, America and Britain due to political policy. They must apply for visa authorization code through a valid travel agency based in Iran with prefixed itinerary and travel dates. It takes 1- 2 months for the MFA to issue the visa authorization code and applicants can collect their visas at the Iran embassy in their country. A tour guide accompanies them from beginning to end.

– US/American citizen can have collected and stamped their visas at the interest section of Iran embassy in Washington DC.
– These nationalities can travel to Iran’s free zone for 14 days without any visa. Iran’s free zones attract tourists yearly; Kish Islands, Qeshm Islands, Chabahar, Maku, Arvand, Anzali and Aras.
Based on mutual agreement in terms of international law and regulations, the following nationalities can enter Iran without any visa and stay for 14 days. They can extend their visa by paying a small amount of money at the affiliated to MFA offices in Iran:
Azerbaijan, Turkey, China, Lebanon, Georgia, Malaysia, Egypt, Armenia, Venezuela, Bolivia and Syria.
